Family Photo Project #2


This was another find in the same album as the photo in my last post.  In that post, I mentioned that I used other photos in the album to figure out when the photo of the engine was taken.  This was one of the photos that I used.  It depicts an American soldier from the first World War.  I wish I knew who he was or anything about him.  He was probably from Battle Creek but I don't know that for sure.  I don't know his name or if he came home from the war. 

This photo made me think of a project I'd read about where people colorized Civil War photos.  (You can read about it here.) I was really amazed that adding color made the photos look totally modern, like they were taken last week.  I wonder what this photo would look like if we colorized it in the same way.  Would he look like one of my teens at the library, just a kid?
